How I spent my summer vacation

I felt it was time for an article. And I encourage everyone to go to the massage board; we are all having a lot of fun there!
Anyway, I have a lot going on right now, and I'm pretty excited about it, and I wanted to share. This might not even be that funny, but you never know what kind of turn I might take. Anyway, you all know from my profile that I dont have anything there. Well, probably my defining characteristic, aside from the wit, the charm, the dashing, rugged good looks, and my inability to concentrate, is the fact that I have been in the foodservice industry for . . . 18 years. That would make me 22 years old.
Well, the guy I work for currently is a friend of mine, and in fact both he and his wife have worked for me on more than one occasion. Well, they own this restaurant that I work at, and they are going to buy a different venture, and sell this place to me. I was fraught with fear and indecision. What should I do? I have often told people that if I was going to own a business, it wouldn't be a restaurant, because it is way to much work and stress. Well, somebody called me on that. It's a good thing I didn't place any bets on it. I decided I was going to go ahead and do it. In fact, now I am at the point where if for some reason it doesn't go through, I will be both upset and pissed. Am I jinxing it by writing this?. . .Maybe I should stop.
The other thing already in the works is we (me and my family) are having a house built. This is the story I was trying to tell before when the system timed out on me and I lost all of my precious work. So now, every paragraph or so, I post, and then go back and edit. It is the hard way around, and that is why I do it.
Currently we all live in the vast major metropolitan area that is St Louis. Not in the city proper, you understand. the 'burbs. And somehow, it is not far enough. We are going to move about an hour away from here, to the north and west. Or to the west and then the north. A little town called Troy, MO. Because we liked the movie so much. We are white flight warriors, on a journey to . .. yeah, okay, whatever. But we are getting a bigger house, which I am excited about, and a garage, which is cool, and a basement. And a large yard, like half an acre. Because what is the point of moving to the country if you can't eat a lot of peaches?
But I will have cable internet available, so I won't be in the complete sticks. Plus it also comes with a free meth lab. But I want you to know that this won't change me. Being a responsible, respectable business owner, having a new house, and all the pressures of being a grown-up--In fact, I may regress. I feel it happening now.
