An Apology

2/26/04 by scott

Recently, I posted an article here on webdisaster that hurt the feelings of a friend of mine. I will not mention any names in order to avoid any further unintentional slander, but you know who you are. I intended the article to be a sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek look at a goofy situation and my goofy reaction to it, which is pretty much just like any other article on this site.

Unfortunately, in this particular article I took some liberties and posted some personal information without that person's permission, which understandably led to some hurt feelings and resentment. While I never intended to hurt anyone's feelings, I should not have used the words I did, and I am sincerely sorry for the trouble I caused.

In the future, I promise I will be more careful about what my articles contain. While I personally don't mind if the details of my life are exposed on the web for tens of people to see, no one else should have to have stories about them posted without their permission. I hope that in time the person whom I offended will forgive me, but I understand that may be difficult.

Again, I truly apologize for any hurt feelings I have caused as a result of my carelessness, and I promise I will be more careful in the future.
