I have good news and bad news.. . . .

I turned a few people on to this really cool site that I go to, and also this one. They seemed to like it. My son, my sister, this guy from work. So the good news is, the readership of the site as dramatically increased, lending street cred to our hero Scott, but it is still small enough to be on the edge.
The bad new is, some of these clowns may want to become members, with all of the rights and priveleges thus provided, including :

(well, isnt the only privelege of membership the ability to post articles? What else do we have? What else do we get for the membership dues we pay, oh GrandWebMaster Scott? I was hoping for t-shirts, hats, bumperstickers, secret handshakes, tattoos, tri-annual meetings at exclusive resorts in secret locations, plus the knowledge that we are all working to make the world a better, albeit more laidback yet cynical place)

In any event, it is entirely up to you, Scott, and of course, the membership committee. You can always keep the site small, exclusive, and secret. Or this might be the opportunity to break out and go mainstream. But would the site lose its vision, its true voice, to pay the price for wealth, fame, and power? These are some hard choices. And they are yours. Plus, how dorky is it that a lot of the members are in the family? Perhaps we should all start with the secret identity thing. I am not really Scott's uncle, anyway. I am .. . some dude he met in prison who purchased him for a carton of smokes and saved him from the ravages of a rival cell block. He was willing to be my bitch but I had too much respect for him, and he looked funny.

Okay, that is my cover story. What's yours?
