Ugh. My computer is on the fritz again. This time I’ve got Kim’s laptop as a backup, but they don’t make Vista drivers for our scanner so I’m stuck taking a picture and posting that. If I can get a better scan later on I’ll re-post. Stupid computers!
I’ve been thinking I need some visual references instead of trying to draw from my imagination, so yesterday I was flipping through a People magazine and came across a picture of Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson …uh… wrestling… on a floaty thing. So I had to draw that because it was hilarious. Today it’s Zooey Deschanel. Doesn’t look exactly like her, but I like her eyes so I tried to focus on those.

Here’s a proper scan. I’m not sure which one I like better, honestly. The lighting from taking a photo in my dining room adds a warm tone and hides some of the harder marks. But you also lose some detail. Why don’t you let me know which you prefer by leaving a comment below?
